I spent Saturday and Sunday at Flat Creek Crossing Ranch, next door to Pedernales Falls State Park, courtesy of a door prize win by Michelle. She couldn't use her free night at the ranch due to travel plans, so I was lucky to get her spot and joined four other friends for two days of hiking, biking, and swimming in the river.

The ranch is normally used as a retreat and is not often available for people to simply rent a cabin for the night. This weekend was oddly free though, and we found ourselves with access to the main lodge and the entire ranch all to ourselves!

On Saturday afternoon we hiked a mile and a half down from our lodge to the Pedernales River and swam in a small canyon. The water was chilly at first, but not too bad.

This is a stitch of two separate photos. A larger version is also available.

Splendid view, well stitched:) I wish I had more time now for photography. I am taking some exams now - and tommorow next turn begins :).
