I discovered a new little area of Houston -- Hermann Park. I know that sounds silly, but I honestly hadn't really been in there before.

OMG! My favorite place in Houston!! Welcome. There is so much there including the Japanese Garden, the Garden Center, the reflecting pool and McGovern as you have already photographed. Next time, if you haven't, walk the path down through the little nature "wetlands" area and ends up in the kids playground. Hermann is awesome.
