Animals: November 2004 Archives

This is Jo's dog, Bandit. Muffin (pictured yesterday) is his mom, even though they look nothing alike. Bandit is a crazy dog who likes to crawl under end tables and sit in the bathtub.

This is Jo's mother's dog, Muffin. She was very shy and wouldn't let me pet her when I first walked into the apartment on Thursday for the Thanksgiving meal. A few hours later, we were sitting around chatting when I felt something trying to climb up into the chair behind me. I looked down and there was Muffin. She never did warm up to the boys, but she let me pet her the rest of the day.

The same day that I took the photo of the berries that I posted two days ago, I saw this fly land about 6 feet away on the stucco column on my balcony. I zoomed all the way in to 300mm with my new lens, and amazed myself by capturing, literally, a fly on the wall. (Not to mention it's a neat display of the lens's depth of field.)

The pink stucco of the wall behind adds something as well, I think.
