Orchid

I love orchids, but I've always been scared to get one because, well, I just do not have a green thumb. But Jose bought me this orchid for my birthday at the end of March and I'm determined to keep it alive and thriving. After two months, it's starting to drop its flowers so I wanted to capture it before they all fall off. With any luck, I will coax it into blooming again.

Japanese Zero

I went flying with Becca and Jose on Sunday, and as we entered the pattern for landing back at Pearland, five WWII-era warbirds showed up for a landing as well! As Jose tried to land the plane with warbirds breathing down his neck, I snapped a bunch of crappy photos that didn't really do justice to the feeling that we were under attack! We'd barely cleared the runway when they came zooming in behind us. It was really cool.
