Peaceful Run

| | Comments (0)

The Tejas Triathlon in Sugar Land had one of the prettier courses (for this area) that I've seen. The swim was in a small lake in a residential neighborhood, and the first mile of the run followed the perimeter of the lake (seen here). The finish line was a few hundred yards away beneath a grove of beautiful old pecan trees. Very nice.

Preparing to Race

I shot swimming and running at the Tejas Triathlon (sprint distance) in Sugar Land on June 12. Swimmers are always warming up in the water, and getting swim caps situated. It can be a pretty chaotic scene, but this woman managed to find a tiny spot to herself.

Today I'm heading home to Charlotte, North Carolina for 9 days. My "baby" sister is getting married!! Updates will continue regularly, though automatically, through about Thursday. After that there will be NC and wedding photos galore, I'm sure!

Two small Astros fans, hoping for a batting practice autograph or ball last Saturday at Minute Maid Park.

Morgan's Turn to be the Hero

This is certainly not the best photo I've ever taken, and of course it might be far better if I could snag a press pass...or even lower deck seats...but it's certainly one of the most fun photos I've taken! Morgan Ensberg hit a 3-run, walk-off home run as the Astros beat the Blue Jays 6-3 last night at Minute Maid Park. He was mobbed by his teammates as he crossed the plate. :)

Putt-Putt

Last night we played Putt-Putt in celebration of Paul's 25th birthday. I suck at Putt-Putt, but I have a great time playing.
