Everybody has magnetic ribbons on their car these days. Here's a new twist on the idea. They even turned the cutout part into a little alien face!
Same event and post-processing method as photo.
I was on my way to softball practice when I passed the park by the lake, and saw a half dozen old fire trucks parked there, pumping water out of the lake and spraying it back in. It was some sort of fire truck open house. I had to stop and take a picture, though I only had my point-n-shoot with me.
Here's one of the resulting shots. I didn't like it all that much at first so I decided to try out a Photoshop action I downloaded: Feivel's . I really liked the result, and how it seems to give the photo an old-fashioned feel.
I'm actually pretty dumb when it comes to cars, so I spend most of the car show walking around taking pictures with little regard to the specifics. I have no idea what model this is. I just liked the old taillight.
The car, not the flower. This was one of the more popular items at the Houston Auto Show. Trying to shoot the car without any people was hopeless, but in the end I think showing the crowds around it worked well.
How many coats of wax do you think it takes to make a car that shiny?
P.S. I found this cool little Flash tool online, , and used it to make a page of my from my five months (so far) as a photoblogger. Check it out and let me know what you think.
I went to the Houston Auto Show yesterday. Expensive cars are pretty.
