Urban: January 2006 Archives
The infamous Houston metro that is always running into people -- or people running into it.
Jupiter and Saturn -- part of the to-scale solar system on the ground outside the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
One more shot from the 60th floor of the Chase Tower downtown.
One of my favorite Houston locations -- from above!
This is what Houston looks like from the 60th floor.
Looking down on the railroad tracks that run under the University of Houston's downtown campus.
I went to UH Downtown yesterday for a seminar on travel photography put on by National Geographic Traveler. It was a lot of fun, I learned a few new things, got some great photography tips, and oh -- got to look at absolutely gorgeous travel photography all day.
At lunch time I was wandering around killing time and so I followed a staircase that led down from the patio I'd been on. It went underneath the building to the railroad tracks. These old desks were sitting on the other side of the tracks just gathering dust.
The skyline was very pretty last night after the sun had set and as the building lights began to twinkle. I was downtown to pick up my half marathon packet and join the Houston Running Bloggers for the pasta party!
I took this with my point-n-shoot, ISO 400 and RAW, and the noise was absolutely horrid. It's still bad even after a strong pass through noise removal. Sorry.
My mom will hate this photo because it shows the mildew on the siding.
Happy New Year! I hope 2006 treats all of you well.
